Jacob Streuter, Owner/Founder at Pinnacle Roofing & Exteriors

Jacob Streuter

Owner/Founder

Pinnacle Roofing officially opened in 2025, with the inception of experienced contractor, Jacob Streuter. Jacob started roofing back in 2009 as one of the crew, but his journey started long before that.

“My experience with construction and carpentry spans nearly my entire life. My grandpa was a talented carpenter and I learned a great deal from his sharp mind and steady hand. My parents also had rental properties and if you have ever grown up in this scenario, then you know there are always ongoing repairs and projects. We did everything from fine woodworking and finishing trim, to building bookshelves and furniture. The first project of my own was a whole house worth of custom finish trim. Since then, I’ve rehabbed a couple properties, helping family and friends. What I enjoy most about carpentry is that it’s creative. I enjoy finding solutions to problems which come up a lot when you're doing carpentry and/or roof repair and replacement.”

Jacob started consistent home renovation and contracting in 2019, including home, kitchen, and bath remodels. Working for an electrical supply company instilled an appreciation for the supply side of the business, and his educational background in finance planted the seeds for starting and maintaining a business. More recently, he ran the roofing/restoration business for a local construction company. This cumulative experience and knowledge finally gave him the courage to say “I am not throwing away my shot,” and decided to start his own business.  It was somewhere between swings on a hot afternoon of 18 holes with his sales director and her husband that the name Pinnacle was born.

When he’s not pounding the asphalt to ensure every tedious detail of the roofing project is completed to his high standards, you can find Jacob at home with his wife, Kayla, keeping up with their three-year-old son, Roman. He also believes there’s no business like show business and is often seen on- and off-stage at Looking Glass Playhouse in Lebanon, Illinois, from leading man to assistant director and everything in between. Despite his award-winning turn as Pontius Pilate in 2020’s Jesus Christ Superstar, Jacob aspires to someday being in the director’s chair, helping other actors find their impossible dream.

Rachel Halicks, Operations Manager at Pinnacle Roofing & Exteriors

Rachel Halicks

Operations Manager

An abrupt change in employment brought Rachel to the construction sector last fall. Four days before she found out her position was being eliminated, she received a call from Jacob asking her to be the first official Pinnacle hire. Having spent the majority of her career in healthcare, she brings several years of management and training experience with a vast knowledge of relationship-building and customer education. From her first “real” job at an auction and real-estate company, to her most recent position as a traveling clinician and onboarder, her priority across the board has always been customer communication and satisfaction.

Rachel met Jacob on stage during early rehearsals for Monroe Actors Stage Company’s heralded production of Bright Star in 2022, where they bonded over a shared love of classy bourbon cocktails and an indifference to bacon. She has since devoted extensive time working with other area theatre companies, where she and her partner, Ryan, are often in the same production but rarely onstage together. Rachel also enjoys all manner of pickles, running long distances on Disney property, and finding new ways to trick her cat, Rizzo, into exercising. And if you find yourself at the St. Louis Renaissance Faire enjoying a pint and the joust, you might catch her madrigal group, the Greenleaf Singers, gleefully trilling their way through a Baroque rendition of Smash Mouth’s 1999 hit, “All Star.”

“As the only non-family member in this company (so far!), I have come to realize what it means to work for a "family-owned" business. The history, the love, the laughter, it runs deep in this family, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

Peyton Renken, Sales and Production at Pinnacle Roofing & Exteriors

Peyton Renken

Sales and Production

Peyton was born and raised in Nashville, Illinois. A multi-sport student athlete growing up, he played football in college while completing his degree in sport management with a minor in marketing. This knowledge and experience led Peyton to Supplement Superstore, where he quickly advanced to management. With his knack for social media, he won several company awards and eventually became the "face of S2". (Yes, that was him in that commercial!!) The company mission became Peyton's motto: Help as many people as possible. One human interaction at a time. Peyton maintains this mission with his side hustle, personal training, and it carries over to Pinnacle as well.

"My favorite common theme between that career and this one is the ability to help others. Just in a different way. Prioritizing the safety of your home and making sure you don’t have to work with another roofer again is my goal."

Peyton is an avid outdoorsman, and when he's not inspecting roofs or hitting the gym, he is most likely out in the woods or by the closest lake or pond. You might also find him at the nearest card shop, hunting for the next best card for his Magic the Gathering deck.

Abbie Streuter, Sales at Pinnacle Roofing & Exteriors

Abbie Streuter

Director of Sales

Abbie joins Pinnacle Roofing & Exteriors after a successful 15 years in the tech and medical industry. She has a strong background in relationship-driven leadership and applies that same customer-first approach to the roofing industry.

Family is at the center of everything Abbie does. It is said her brothers are her best friends, often treating them as her self-proclaimed sisters, leaving no doubt that they wear this title as a badge of honor. She and her husband, Travis, are proud parents to William and Emma. William keeps life fun and full of adventure (with a shared love for Mickey Mouse that brings plenty of amusement), while Emma — still a little potato — is already showing more of her sweet and spunky personality each day. Together, they love traveling at home and abroad, making both chaotic and lasting memories, and embracing new experiences as a family. There is a running family joke that Abbie may book a trip and never return - not because she doesn’t love home, but because she is already pricing out villas and researching local bakeries before the plane even lands.

"Success isn’t just measured in numbers, but in memories made, people helped, and finding that sweet spot between working hard and living well."

Rocky, Mascot at Pinnacle Roofing & Exteriors

Rocky

Official Office Dog

At a mere 6 months old, this Springer Spaniel has been a member of the Pinnacle team from the beginning. Rocky dreams of some day being the Official Roofing Dog, but for now he must settle for the work-from-home life. Rocky has taken a strong interest in the family business and spends most of his 9 to 5 “helping” at Pinnacle HQ. He loves destroying chew toys, running around outside, and looking for leftovers at the Pinnacle Cafeteria.
